Chris is a god send to new mum’s

I first met Chris when i was a 17 year old new mum. Chris had a completely no nonsense approach and had my baby girl (now 19 expecting a baby herself) l latching on beautifully. Chris was so kind and offered this scared teenager so much support especially when the majority around me at the time were not very pro breastfeeding. I breastfed my first daughter for 15 months. I called on Chris's help again 12 years later later when I had my third baby. Being an experienced mum I assumed I'd have no issues breast feeding for the third time, but I was very wrong. I struggled to latch from the start, he lost quiet a bit of weight and at a few days old I bought formula in desperation. My midwife made an appointment for Chris to visit the next day, and she once again was amazing. I had postnatal depression and she helped me see I wasn't failing as a mum, she showed me different ways to latch a newborn and reminded me of things like feeding on demand and skin to skin. I'm happy to say the formula was never opened. I fed my son until he was two and a half. I met Chris again briefly when my fourth child was born and again was offered the same support. I was again able to breast feed confidently, she is now 3. Chris is a god send to new mum's and I doubt my breast feeding journeys would have been so successful had it not been for her.
